Fears Hurricanes lock Vaea Fifita suffered a broken leg at the Brisbane Global Tens have eased, although his immediate Super Rugby future remains unclear.

Fifita was taken off on a stretcher after he fell during a lineout in the Hurricanes' 17-7 semi-final loss to the Crusaders.

That's at least good news in comparison to his fears of a broken leg immediately after Fifita sustained the injury during a lineout in the Brisbane Ten's tournament.
