The destination for Joseph Parker's next fight is still up in the air, despite his promoters gaining control of the promotion rights.

Duco Events purse bid of just over $US3 million was enough to secure control of the mandatory challenge of British heavyweight  Hughie Fury.

Whilst Parker and his team would prefer home advantage, Director David Higgins said the fight has garnered intetest from Singapore and Manchester and they will follow the money.

"The cost of this show is more than $NZ1 million more than the last fight," said Higgins.

"It is such a huge amount of money we have to see where it stacks up."

"We just need to talk to, our sponsors and see if we can raise enough money to keep the fight in New Zealand."

The 25-year-old Parker will take home a 60/40 purse split against 22-year-old Fury, the WBO's mandatory challenger.

The cousin of former WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, 'The Fist of Fury' holds an unbeaten record of 20 wins, with 10 of those coming by knock-out. His last bout was back in April 2016 when he won a technical decision against Cameroon's Fred Kassi.

Duco's purse bid of just over $US3 million ($NZ4.1 million) edged the $US2.8m ($NZ3.8m) bid from Fury's promoter Frank Warren

Higgins said it is a huge advantage for the Kiwi winning the purse bid as Duco now control everything from date to location.

"Winning the purse bid you hold all the cards."
