The second round of the Honda Classic in Florida took a turn for the weird on Saturday (NZ time) with American Shawn Stefani earning what is definitely one of the best plays of the week if not the year.
Hitting a drive onto the shores of one of the water hazards on the 15th hole, Stefani didn't want to lose any ground on the leaders, stripping down to nothing but his clean white boxer shorts.
To the commentators' amusement, the 35-year-old revealed quite the rig as he got ankle deep to retrieve the ball, hitting it off the beach and only dropping just the one shot.
Perhaps thankful it wasn't a golfer with a slightly more rotund figure, the chuckling commentators said that Stefani could expect to receive a letter of concern from the office of the PGA National Resort & Spa.
