There are occasions in professional golf where the average punter might think to themselves, "that's a shot I could have played."
They don't happen often, but they do happen.
Darren Clarke's approach on the 14th hole at the Dubai Desert Classic was certainly one of those occasions.
A wonderful golfer, a major winner and a former Ryder Cup captain, Clarke has hit some shots most would never dream of.
But not this one, as he lined up to play a delicate flop shot before almost missing it and striking a horrible shank.
"Oh my goodness, he was trying to fly a big high flop shot and miss the club face… As much as anything, that's embarrassing," one commentator says.
"He's walking over there to the bunker thinking 'oh god I hope that wasn't on television'", the other commentator chimes in.
