New Warriors recruit Kieran Foran is likely to start his first match for then club against the St George Dragons on Sunday.

The 26-year-old was stood down for the first two games of the season as a result of his off-field issues in 2016, and despite being available for the clash in Dunedin versus the Canterbury Bulldogs last weekend, the club decided not to risk their new playmaker due to his recovery from a shoulder injury.

NRL.com is reporting Foran will partner Shaun Johnson in the halves for the Warriors despite being named on an extended bench for the match at Jubilee Oval.

The Warriors are desperate to bounce back from consecutive losses to the Melbourne Storm and Bulldogs, but face an in-form Dragons side that has won two of their first three games, including a 24-18 win over the Newcastle Knights last Saturday.
