They may have finished their Western Australian/African trip with a win over the Force but the Chiefs haven't escaped unscathed with halfback Finlay Christie cited for stamping.

The incident occurred two minutes into the second half when Christie sought to make the ball available from a ruck. The young halfback then looked to make contact with his boot to the head of an opponent.

After the match, SANZAAR decided that the act should have warranted a red card.

"Christie is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4(b) Stamping/Trampling on an Opponent, during the match between the Force and Chiefs at NIB Stadium in Perth on 22 April 2017," a statement from SANZAAR read.

"Upon further review of the match footage, the Citing Commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the red card threshold for foul play."

The incident will be further reviewed by the SANZAAR foul play review committee on Sunday night to determine whether any suspension will be enforced.
