The Wests Tigers have signed Tuimoala Lolohea until "at least the end of the 2019 season", the club announced Monday afternoon.

The 22-year-old will be available for the Tigers for this Saturday's round 13 clash against the St George-Illawarra Dragons.

Making his debut for the club back in 2014, Lolohea was a part of the 2014 Warriors Toyota Cup-winning team before he was named the club's rookie of the year in 2015.

However, through indifferent form, the utility back fell behind other players in the pecking order at Mt Smart Stadium.

It's a very shrewd acquisition by Tigers coach Ivan Cleary who's hoping he'll achieve his potential in coming years.

"Tui has shown that he is a player of tremendous natural talent.

"We look forward to helping him develop, and reach his true potential, in the coming years."

As well as joining the former Warriors coach, Lolohea joins Ben Matulino as well as former Warrior Russell Packer at the Tigers.
