UFC light heavyweight Alexander Gustafsson proved not only his killer instinct but also a soft side at the UFC’s latest event in Stockholm Sweden.
The hometown hero dismantled former title contender, Brazilian Glover Teixeira via knockout in the fifth and final round, but it was during his post-fight interview where the 30-year-old scored his biggest ever win.
The Swede used the platform to propose to his partner, who had given birth to their first born in the lead up to the bout.
Luckily enough for the two time title challenger, his partner, Moa Antonia Johansson said yes and his perfect night was complete.
The win against Teixeira should see Gustafsson as the logical challenger to the winner of the upcoming title bout between former champion Jon Jones, and Daniel Cormier.
Two of Gustafsson’s four professional losses have come against the two Americans.
