The Warriors have confirmed both the signing of Gold Coast Titans forward Leivaha Pulu to a three-year contract and the re-commitment of James Gavet through until 2019.

Pulu will be returning to his native New Zealand after 34 career games with the Titans, while Gavet should continue to feature prominently after making his mark this season in a Warriors pack which needs all the power it can muster.

"They both bring size and plenty of enthusiasm and aggression in the way they play the game," said recruitment and development manager Tony Iro.

"James [Gavet] was in our NYC and NRL squads in 2009 and 2010 and always had potential. It has taken him time to get to this level but he has had a really impressive season since coming back into our first-grade side in round four.

"We've been interested in Leivaha [Pulu] for a while. He has worked hard for his opportunity in the NRL and has made a real impact since joining the Titans."

Pulu is another late-bloomer at age 27, but at 1.92 metres and 115 kg should add plenty of grunt to the Warriors pack.

He also earned his first Test cap for Tonga during the Pacific Test series earlier this month.

Gavet has overcome some personal issues to cement himself as a first team regular for the Warriors this season after previous stints with Wests Tigers and Brisbane.

Iro confirmed they would be making more recruitment announcements in the coming weeks, one of which could be Panthers half Te Maire Martin.
