America's Cup 2017: Kiwi stars rush to congratulate Team NZ

  • 27/06/2017

Kiwi sporting identities have been quick to congratulate Team New Zealand following their historic America's Cup win in Bermuda.

Olympic medallists Rob Waddell and Sarah Walker were on hand to give their congratulations with BMX champion Walker praising the use of kiwi ingenuity.

Meanwhile, the White Ferns have sent their congratulations to Team New Zealand from their camp in the UK where they're about to start their Cricket World Cup campaign.

The Blues and the Warriors also took time out from training to send congratulatory messages through.

Team New Zealand cantered home by 55 seconds in race 10 of the America's Cup to seal a remarkable 7-1 win, avenging the 9-8 loss they suffered at the hands of Oracle Team USA in San Francisco in 2013.
