The Black Ferns Sevens have proven they're the best on the planet, completing their near perfect season in style in France on Monday morning (NZT).
After clinching the World Series by finishing better than seventh they then went on to beat Australia 22-7 in the final of their last tournament of the year in Clermont, France.
The New Zealanders dominated with five tries against their arch-rivals - getting some revenge for missing out on Olympic gold in Rio last year.
Player of the final Tyla Nathan-Wong's reflecting on a near-perfect season where they incredibly only lost one match in six tournaments.
"Five out of six that's pretty good in my eyes and it's all credit due to the amazing team we have," said an ecstatic Nathan-Wong.
"To the girls who went to the fifteens too. The whole culture we have is incredible.
"We've worked really hard this season and it's not just been the 14 here, it's been the whole squad and the management too."
"It's been an amazing culture and an amazing season."
New Zealand won 35 of their 36 matches this season.
Speedster Michaela Blyde was the top try scorer for the series and Nathan-Wong landed the most conversions.
Final standings: New Zealand 116 points, Australia 100, Canada 98, Fiji 66, Russia 66, United States 62.
