Pre-match banter - Warriors look for first away win of the season against Gold Coast Titans

The Warriors head into Saturday's match against the Gold Coast Titans as underdogs despite having won 12 of the last 13 matches between the two sides.

The Warriors have been below par for most of the season and are looking to bounce back, following a poor display against the Parramatta Eels last Friday, and end their 10-month winless streak in Australia.

The Warriors currently sit four points outside the NRL top-eight and they know they have to win across the ditch if they are to have any shot of making the finals for the first time since 2011.

Erin Clark signs there-year deal with Canberra Raiders

Warriors' forward Simon Mannering told the media that the side needs to be more consistent if they want to make the top eight.

"This is a competition of consistency and we have not shown that this year," Mannering said.

"We are doing well during the week and preparing right but we still have to do things better because it is not showing on the field.

"We have one more game before a week off so our focus is solely on this one game.

"We have to get one good performance in for this very important game for us."

The match on the Gold Coast will be Ryan Hoffman's 300th NRL game, and the 33-year old hopes to mark the occasion with a win.

"It is something that I am very proud of," Hoffman said.

"Obviously you don't set out to play this many games - I just wanted to play as many as I could. To get to 300 is something that I am really proud of and hold really close to my heart but the over-riding factor of this weekend is about us getting two competition points.

"I appreciate all the stuff the club is doing but I know as a playing group we are really focused on getting the job done against the Titans."

Meanwhile the Titans will be at full strength as they welcome back hooker Nathan Peats following a standout display for New South Wales in State of Origin.

Despite being at full strength, Titans coach Neil Henry believes the key to success is shutting down Warriors captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.

The Kiwi fullback has been one of the competition's best, running for a whopping 1938m with 41 line breaks to his name already this season.

"Their fullback is very, very quick - they have some big wingers and rely on them heavily for their carries, it's going to be a big job for us," Henry said.
