Kyle Anderson has won a thrilling all-Australian final to emerge a surprise champion at the Auckland Darts Masters.
Trailing compatriot and junior world champion Corey Cadby early in the best- of-21 leg final on Sunday, Anderson prevailed 11-10 to complete a giant-killing week.
Both players toppled more highly-rated English opponents in the semi-finals.
Cadby upset 16-time world champion Phil Taylor 11-8 while Anderson dispatched James Wade 11-4.
It was a breakthrough tournament for Perth-born, Nottingham-based Anderson.
The world No.30's most notable previous performances were quarter-final appearances last year at the European Championship and the UK Open.
The World Series of Darts moves to Melbourne this week.
