WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has called out WBA and IBF champion Anthony Joshua after Wladimir Klitschko announced his retirement from boxing.

Joshua, who defeated Klitschko in April, was scheduled for a rematch in November, but the 41-year-old unexpectedly announced his retirement on Thursday.

Now that Klitschko has called it quits, Joshua has to find a new opponent, and "the Bronze Bomber" has offered his services.

"Eddie Hearn, I know you weren't expecting Klitschko to retire like this, man; he had all of us guessing," Wilder said in a social media video.

"Don't go pulling your hair out weeping and moaning. We still have this thing going on.

"You once tried to sic your little poodle, Tony Bellew, on me until you realised my bite is just as big as my bark.

"Then you tried to lend me your little black spare tire, Dillian Whyte, knowing that after usage I wouldn't even gain a yard. Let's not mess about here, mate.

"We've got an opportunity to turn a year into three months and make one of the biggest heavyweight title fights in history.

"I don't want to hear nothing about mandatory. I'm sure the sanctioning bodies, all the sanctioning bodies, will overrule on this one.

"This fight is inevitable, so it will happen. So call us, girl, we'll be waiting."

The American also made chicken noises during the video, aimed at Eddie Hearn.

The 31-year-old has won all 38 of his fights, 37 by KO, and has held the WBC belt since 2015. He has been very outspoken about fights against Joshua, and against Joseph Parker.

Wilder has called both fighters out a number of times, most recently in May where he said: "Just got one question - which one of you wants this work first, Anthony Joshua or Joseph Parker?"

Parker's camps have previously engaged in discussions with Wilder's camp for a possible unification bout.

In June, Wilder was also arrested for marijuana possession.

Meanwhile, Joshua has been ordered to box both his IBF and WBA mandatories against  Kubrat Pulev and Luis Ortiz, respectively.
