Jesse Bromwich trying to make amends for cocaine scandal by winning NRL premiership

Former Kiwis forward and captain Jesse Bromwich says he owes his fans and family a win in the NRL Preliminary finals to make amends for this year's cocaine scandal.

Bromwich stepped down as captain of the Kiwis after being caught buying the drug in May along with Kevin Proctor, hours after New Zealand lost to Australia 30-12 in the Anzac Test in Canberra.

"For me it's about trying to repay the club and our fans and my family," Bromwich told reporters.

"What I did was stupid and it'll never happen again, so I'm trying to move on from that and repay everyone."
