Former world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury says he won't be reapplying for his British boxing licence and will seek to make his comeback elsewhere.

The Brit had his licence suspended by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC) "pending further investigation" last October after allegations of doping and cocaine use emerged.

The 29-year-old has not fought since beating Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015, when he became WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO world champion.

Fury firstly tweeted: "After thinking long and hard about my return I will not be applying for a BBBOC boxing license. After the way, they have handled stuff. No thanks."

But then later clarified his statement by saying he won't go through British Boxing and will "take my money and business somewhere that appreciates it".

That was then followed up with another tweet which implies he is free to return to the ring using the hash tag #SuspensionLifted.

Fury's uncle Peter, also tweeted saying he will look to withdraw Hughie Fury's license from the BBBoC.

"Will also look to withdraw Hughies as well. Bent b*****s all of them," Peter wrote on his Twitter page.

Hughie lost his WBO world title challenge to New Zealand's Joseph Parker in Manchester last month and his camp were outraged at the decision.
