Football fans have taken to Twitter in outrage, after Peruvian football fans appeared to distract All Whites players with laser beams during their World Cup playoff decider in Lima.

According to news.com.au, Peruvian celebrations have been soured by image of the goalkeeper Stefan Marinovic and defender Bill Tuiloma with green lights shining on them, posted on social media

The image of Tuiloma shows a laser shining on his back, while Marinovic is clearly distracted by the green beam on his face.

The act has been labelled as 'disgusting' as fans uploaded photos to Twitter.

The All Whites lost the second leg 2-0, as Peru secured a spot at the FIFA World Cup for the first time since 1982.

Jefferson Farfan and Christian Ramos were the heroes for Peru, with both players finding the back of the net.
