Kiwi WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker can knock out 'dodgy chin' Anthony Joshua - Tyson Fury

Former heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury has backed the claims of Team Joseph Parker that Anthony Joshua has a glass jaw.

The Kiwi's promoter, Duco Events, released a video last week of Joshua being knocked off his feet in both amateur and professional ranks, in a bid to bait the WBA and IBF world champion into a unification fight for Parker's WBO title.

Fury believes the stunt will work, predicting a March or April showdown between 'AJ' and Parker.

'The Gypsy King' said he thinks Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn sees the fight with the New Zealander as the easiest on offer, which Fury believes is a huge mistake.

"Can Parker beat him? Yes, he can," Fury told IFLTV.

"Eddie Hearn and Joshua see Joseph Parker as an easy victim, but like that showed - the little fat Bulgarian chinned him, bish, bash, wallop, and sat him down in the corner.

"He (Joshua) was a big weightlifter then too and that was a little fat man punching his head in for him."

Fury has heard the heavily rumoured tales of Joshua being hurt in sparring and can see Parker posing a unique challenge for his fellow Brit if he can land on his chin.

The 29-year-old believes the Kiwi will be fighting with no fear or pressure against Joshua, who would be a unanimous favourite with British bookmakers.

"Parker is as tough as a brick and as game as a pebble and is young and ambitious with no expectations on him. Nobody expects Parker to beat Joshua -   it's all about the weightlifter, let's go in there and blast a few out - bash, bash, bash.

"Parker can beat Joshua, he can knock him out. Joshua's chin is dodgy. We know this for a fact.

"I've heard plenty of knockout videos and plenty of knockout rumours, and dropped and all that,  So we know he can be hurt and hit because we've seen it on TV.  Klitschko's done him, a man 40 odd year-old.

"This isn't Muhammad Ali, this is a man built-up believing in his own hype and a man who is going to come crashing down to earth very, very soon.

"There are no expectations on young  Joseph, he's a young man coming for a pay cheque isn't he, so he can't lose," said Fury.

"It's a no-lose situation. If he loses to Joshua, 'oh, he was supposed to lose'.

"But if he wins he becomes legendary and then I'll have to come back and give him a boxing lesson, which I don't want to because he's my mate."

Fury doesn't believe Joshua's team are interested in a unification fight with WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder because they fear the American's undoubted knockout power.
