Snow storm plunders NFL game between the Buffalo Bills and Indianapolis Colts

An NFL match-up between the Buffalo Bills and the Indianapolis Colts has been severely affected by a snow storm in the state of New York on Monday (NZT).

The week 14 encounter went ahead despite the unfavourable conditions, with both teams clearly struggling to play through the winter weather.

Buffalo were the only team to register points before the half, with quarterback Nathan Peterman finding his receiver, Kelvin Benjamin in the corner.

With visibility proving to be a problem, both sides seemed intent on running the ball, with Bills running-back LeSean McCoy getting the majority of the carries.

The weather had been so bad in the lead-up to the game; the Bills organisation sought out local residents to help lend a shovel in return for a free ticket to the game.

The Bills won 13-7 in overtime.
