The Pittsburgh Steelers have been humbled in front of their home crowd by the unheralded Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Divisional round.

The Steelers, who were big favourites, never led after trailing 21-0 early in the second quarter … eventually succumbing 45-42.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw five touchdowns as the homeside looked to stage a second-half comeback.

The Jaguars' lead however never fell below seven-points until the final play of the game.

Jacksonville had an offensive answer every time Pittsburgh threatened to run them down.

Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles, known more for offensive struggles than successes played the game of his life.

The 25-year-old finished with 214 yards, throwing for one touchdown but most importantly no interceptions … something that has plagued the former 1st Round pick his entire career.

Jacksonville head to New England next week to take on Tom Brady and the Patriots for a spot in the Superbowl next month.
