Fresh off his stunning UFC debut, Kiwi middleweight Israel Adesanya has wasted no time getting back into the octagon.

The 'Last Stylebender' will fight Italian Marvin Vettori at UFC on Fox 29 on April 15 (NZT).

Adesanya is coming off an impressive highlight-reel knockout win over Rob Wilkinson at UFC 221, earning 'Performance of the Night' honours.

His incredible showcase of skills was equally matched by his ability on the microphone following his victory, catching the attention of fans and fighters alike - none more so than his next opponent.

"Attention all middleweights, I'm the new dog in town and I just pissed all over this cage," Adesanya told UFC commentator Jon Anik.

Vettori, who goes by the nickname 'The Italian Dream', seemingly called out Adesanya following the interview on Twitter, despite mistaking him for an Australian.

The 24-year-old has four fights in promotion, winning two of them, losing one and drawing his most recent encounter.

Adesanya may be only one fight into his young UFC career but he's already eyeing up a fight with current middleweight champion, New Zealand-born Robert Whittaker.

"I just see that happening," he told Newshub.

"I'll beat him. I will find a way. I'd f**k him up."

UFC on Fox 29 will be headlined by a lightweight clash between Justin Gaetchje and Dustin Poirier, as well as a fight between organisation veterans Matt Brown and Carlos Condit.
