David Tuitupou won the latest instalment of King in the Ring with a brutal knockout win against Nato La'aulu at Auckland's YMCA Stadium on Friday night.

Nicknamed 'Titan', the 161kg beast knocked La'aulu to the ground with 35 seconds left in the second round with a powerful right uppercut which left spectators inside the arena stunned.

The 25-year-old super heavyweight pocketed $10,000 for winning the event.

He beat James Pascoe and Ata 'The Smiling Assassin' Fakalelu en route to the final.

King in the Ring has proven to be a genuine pathway onto the global fight scene for several Kiwi athletes.

Three-time winner Israel Adesanya is now making waves in the UFC alongside former middleweight champion Dan Hooker.
