Twenty20 specialist Mitchell McClenaghan has been given an IPL lifeline after been drafted into the Mumbai Indians for the upcoming tournament.
The former Blackcap fast bowler missed selection during the auction in February, but an injury to Australian paceman Jason Behrendorff has seen the Kiwis called up by his former side.
McClenaghan was part of the Mumbai side that won the Indian Premier League crown in 2015, and has spent the last three years with the squad.
The 31-year-old was a key contributor in 2017 taking 19 wickets in 14 matches.
