Kiwi heavyweight Joseph Parker has revealed he wants to fight twice more this year as he looks to manoeuvre his way back towards a world title shot.

The 26-year-old is keen to get back in the ring after his points loss to Anthony Joshua in their fight in Cardiff on April 1.

Since the fight, Parker has been in New Zealand spending time with his daughter and his family, but speaking to Talamua Media in Samoa, he said he is eager to get back in the ring.

"I want to fight in July or August and again at the end of the year," Parker told Talamua Media.

"We want to get back as fast as we can, and we don't want to fight anyone who isn't in the top five or top 10.

"We want to progress and fight the best because we have shown we belong with the best."

Parker's loss to Joshua was his first of his professional career.

A month on from the fight, Parker has had time to reflect on the devastating loss, but his views haven't changed.

"When you have two skilful fighters fighting each other sometimes you don't land the punch you want to land.

"It was a good fight, and I can't complain, he was the better man on the day

"I know if I fight him again, and I change a few things, I'll bring the belts back."
