Disgraced former Australian cricket captain Steve Smith is reportedly in line to become a commentator with Foxtel on the pay TV network's new cricket channel.
Smith is serving a 12-month ban for his involvement in a ball-tampering scandal that rocked the cricket world.

He and conspirators vice-captain David Warner and opener Cameron Brancroft confessed to deliberating trying to alter the condition of the ball with a piece of sandpaper during the second test against South Africa.
Despite the media storm that followed, the Sunday Telegraph are reporting Smith is being eyed for a role with the Australian network as a commentator.
Foxtel and Channel Seven recently did an AU$1.2 billion (NZ$1.3 billion) deal to broadcast cricket for the next six years - replacing Channel Nine, who held the rights for four decades.
The two networks are still looking to fill positions for next summer's cricket coverage, and according to Wide World Of Sports, Smith will "most likely undertake roles in the commentary box and offer his opinion on magazine shows."
