The Warriors have new owners.

Stuff is reporting that Hawaiian businessman Richard Fale's consortium have bought the club from Eric Watson.

According to Stuff, Eric Watson has agreed the structure of the purchase of the NRL club to the Hawaii-based businessman, who is fronting a consortium which includes current and former NFL players.

Fale told RadioLIVE last month that he had agreed on a price with Watson and he expected to have a deal official within 10-14 days.

Fale's group will need to seek approval from the NRL to formally buy the club but that is understood to be nothing more than a formality.

A source within the club told Newshub that the potential sale of the club was private and confidential but confirmed that no sale has been finalised at this point.

The Warriors have started the 2018 season on fire, winning their first four games for the first time in club history, including a 30-6 demolition of premiership favourites, the Sydney City Roosters.

The Auckland based club sits second on the ladder behind the only other undefeated side, the St George Dragons.
