Kiwi Danny Lee has jumped 40 places in the world golf rankings after his top-10 finish at this week's Players Championship.
Lee chased American Webb Simpson into the final day at Florida's TPC Sawgrass course, but faltered over the final nine holes to finish in a tie for seventh - by far his best result of the PGA season.
The 27-year-old pocketed NZ$530,000 for his 12-under-par performance, which was enough to boost his ranking from 186 to 140.
Lee is still only the second-ranked Kiwi, with Ryan Fox sitting at 124, four spots down on last week.
