NRL: Warriors captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck remains on baby watch ahead of Rabbitohs clash

Saturday is shaping as a massive day for Warriors captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck with two huge events scheduled to take place.

Fiancé Ashley Walker is due to give birth to a baby girl, the same day as the Warriors' Round 12 NRL clash against the South Sydney Rabbitohs in Auckland.

The fullback was a late withdrawal from the Warriors squad for their 24-14 win over the Eels last Friday in Sydney, remaining in New Zealand to support his partner.

Depending on the time of the birth, it could see the New Zealand international drop out of the side for the second straight week, but the 26-year-old says he is preparing as normal to face the 2014 champions.

"I'm going in ready to play and if it happens, it happens," he said, at an announcement that Vodafone had extended its Warriors sponsorship.

"It's a first for me and Ashley - everything is new to us, so we don't know what to expect.

"I'm just excited, I'm not nervous or anything. I'm really watching Ashley and seeing how she's going."

Tuivasa-Sheck says he has the club's support if he needs to leave to be with his fiancé before kickoff.

"The coaching staff and the club haven't put any pressure on me," he said. "They'll support me in what I choose to do, but in myself, I really want to play and be there for the team."

If Tuivasa-Sheck is omitted from the matchday squad, Peta Hiku will likely fill in at fullback, but that also depends on the health of halfback Mason Lino.

The 24-year-old injured his leg during the win over the Eels and is in doubt, but coach Stephen Kearney said the halfback should be fit to face the Bunnies.

"He has run well in the last two days and he has pulled up well," said Kearney. "We're hopeful and we will see how he pulls up tomorrow."

If Lino is ruled out, it could see Hiku move into the halves, and Gerard Beale or Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad start at fullback.

In this season's opening round, the Warriors beat the Rabbitohs 32-20 in Perth for the first time and they also snapped a run of six losses against South Sydney dating back to 2013.
