Cockroaches allegedly filmed crawling on Air New Zealand flight

A New Zealand man is fuming after reportedly making a disgusting discovery on an Air NZ plane flying from Perth to Auckland.

The man, who does not want to be identified, says he shot a nauseating video showing cockroaches running around the flight earlier this month.

"Got to love having this little guys running around," he told Newshub.

"Nothing like waking up to the feeling of one running up your leg... managed to kill a few seeing the crew had no interest in them even though I brought them a dead one like a cat brings its owner a mouse."

His footage shows the revolting vermin crawling up seats. But they didn't stop there. He says the roaches went on to climb onto passengers.

"All I can say is when one crawled up the arm of the girl in front of me I am glad she was asleep, the screams would have hurt," he says.

"I have been on hundreds of flights even on cheap airlines and not once have I ever seen this."

Air NZ has been contacted for comment, but so far has yet to respond. The man says at no point did the air crew offer or ask to do anything while he was seated.

"The only time I got any feedback about them is getting off the plane they pulled me aside so one of the New Zealand bio-security person could ask where and how many as they were going to spray the plane," he told Newshub.

"At no point did the air crew offer or ask anything while I was seated except one person who came back and said they have informed the pilot."
