It's the toughest test in the US Army, and now the first two women to pass through Ranger School have spoken publically about their experiences.

Under US law, Lieutenant Shaye Haver and Captain Kristen Griest will not actually be allowed to serve in a Ranger regiment, but they have proved they would be more than capable if given the chance.

"I never actually thought anything was going to be too difficult that it was worth leaving the course," says Capt Griest.

Lt Haver says that being able to see her male peers struggling through the course as well helped her keep going.
