Labor Day picnics in the United States usually mean a menu full of politics.

Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders may have had the best Labor Day with a huge crowd of well-wishers in New Hampshire turning out after a new poll found him leading Hillary Clinton in the state.

Mr Sanders says when he found out of the result he said, "Wow".

"People are saying, 'You know, he's right, maybe we do have to deal with incoming wealth and inequality'," he says.

Ms Clinton spent the day campaigning in Iowa where she still has an edge, though it has got smaller.
