The Australian deputy mayor who gained international notoriety with his multi-million dollar wedding has been charged with intimidation.
Salim Mehajer allegedly threatened to find out where the father of a Lindt cafe siege survivor lived and kidnap his children, and now his fellow councillors are demanding he stand down.
For someone who clearly likes to make a statement and craves being the centre of attention, Mr Mehajer has surprisingly gone to ground.
He came to prominence after holding Australia's most expensive wedding, complete with helicopters, and $50 million worth of supercars.
Now the 29-year-old is making headlines again for all the wrong reasons.
