Hungary is mounting a legal challenge against the European Union to restrict refugee numbers in the wake of the Paris terror attacks.
Other European governments are also concerned, after reports that one of the attackers used the refugee route through Greece to get into France.
Mohammed Alkarkhi escaped conflict and bomb blasts two months ago and now terrorists have struck at the heart of his new home.
It's a situation he knows all too well, and one he is trying to forget.
The free movement agreement through Europe is now being hotly debated in parliaments and Mr Alkarkhi now fears others left in Syria won't be able to escape their nightmare.
