Man dies after being shot at police station in Sydney - reports

A man who was shot at Quaker's Hill Police Station in west Sydney has died.

Channel 9 news reported the man was shot in the shoulder after allegedly entering with a knife. He is believed to have gone into cardiac arrest after being shot.

A witness, Brett, told Sydney's 2GB the area around the police station had been cordoned off.

"It's all taped off with police tape and there's forensics there and you can't get through on Lalor Rd either way near the police station. I just saw a rescue response ambulance flying down the road towards us."

Sydney police are now investigating the incident.
