Protests have taken place in Malta against the government after it emerged a senior minister set up a trust in New Zealand to manage his family's financial assets.
Thousands of people took part in the rally on Sunday organised by Malta's conservative opposition against an alleged corruption scandal involving Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi and the chief of staff of Labour Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.
They are accused of setting up secret companies in Panama and trusts in New Zealand.
Nationalist Party leader Simon Busuttil called on Dr Muscat to sack both men.
Dr Mizzi admitted in February that he and his wife had set up a trust in New Zealand last year to manage their assets.
He will close down his company in Panama but retain his trust in New Zealand.
