A dairy farmer has spilled 2500 litres of milk in protest of the decision by exporter Fonterra to pay farmers less for what they produce.
Victorian supplier Amanda Thomas posted a video of the spill to her Facebook page on Thursday, claiming the price change meant they were no longer turning a profit.
"This 2500 litres was worth $1350 to us 3 weeks ago. Now worth $350. take out your running costs and we are in negative!" Ms Thomas said.
Following widespread backlash, Fonterra announced Friday they would support farmers by paying more for milk supplied in May and June as well as an additional offset to farmers in July and August.
