Trump presses Clinton over email server

Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump couldn't resist needling Democrat frontrunner Hillary Clinton at his rally in New Mexico, over today's news about her private email server.

"Crooked Hillary. She's as crooked as they come," said Mr Trump.

The US State Department Inspector General has said Hillary Clinton violated security guidelines when she used a private email server as Secretary of State.

"She had a little bad news today as you know from some reports came down, weren't so good. Not so good. Inspector General's report, not good."

Then he turned to his own headline-making news from last night's rally: "It was like a lovefest last night. It was beautiful."

That assessment left out the numerous interruptions by protestors -- and Mr Trump's typically unorthodox responses.

"Is it fun to be at a Trump rally? Get him out. Get him out. Go home to mommy," exclaimed Mr Trump. "Get him out. He can't get a date so he's doing this instead. "

Outside the event, four were arrested as large crowds tussled with police and crashed through barrier, upset over Mr Trump's harsh immigration proposals.

"We need to make sure that he knows that we do not accept the actual message that he is bringing," said protestor Juan Sanchez.

Mr Trump responded by tweeting: "The protesters in New Mexico were thugs who were flying the Mexican flag. The rally inside was big and beautiful, but outside, criminals!"

At the rally, Mr Trump hit back at Senator Elizabeth Warren after she criticised Mr Trump's 2006 boast he could profit if the real estate market crashed.

"What kind of a man does that? A small, insecure money grubber who doesn't care who gets hurt as long as he makes some money off it," she said.

Trump brought up a disputed claim Ms Warren once made that she is of Native American descent.

"It's Pocahontas Elizabeth Warren. She was going out. She is probably the senator that's doing just about the least in the United States Senate," said Mr Trump.
