Newshub's Patrick Gower has been ensconced at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia all week, where he was greatly impressed by US President Barack Obama's speech to endorse Hillary Clinton for the presidency.
Mr Gower compared Mr Obama's "yes we can" speech to Donald Trump's "no we can't" rhetoric at the Republican National Convention last week - and Mr Trump came off second best.
Meanwhile Mr Trump has claimed he was being sarcastic when he appeared to invite Russian hackers to hunt out Ms Clinton's 30,000 missing emails. The missing emails scandal has threatened to overwhelm the Democratic Convention this week.
Ms Clinton will address the Democratic Convention this afternoon (NZ time) where she will accept the party's nomination for US President, and have the stage to deliver the most important speech of her political career.
