Nicholas Michael Davison, 22, appeared before Melbourne Magistrates Court today charged with culpable driving causing death.
He also faces charges of dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, failing to render assistance, trespassing and theft.
Davison was allegedly behind the wheel of a car that struck and killed the 22-year-old NSW woman in West Melbourne at 2:15am today.
