Two Pennsylvania, US parents are in custody after allegedly punishing their children by locking them in a dog cage in their basement.
Police in Huntingdon County received a call at around 11pm on Saturday night (local time), about a child refusing to go home.
One of the children, a 13-year-old, had escaped the house and ran to a neighbour's place, where police were called.
The parents, Nicholas and Linda Chamberlin had locked the 6-year-old in the dog cage overnight, police said.
They are facing charges of false imprisonment.
