Multinational ride sharing company Uber has been down worldwide today and the reason is still unexplained.
Uber New Zealand tweeted "really sorry about this. We have a temporary outage. We will be back up and running really soon. Thanks for you patience! (sic)"
The global Uber Support twitter account has apologised for the inconvenience.
Outraged customers took to social media to vent their annoyance.
Uber is now back up and running in New Zealand, but issues seem to have continued in some parts of the globe.
