A mass shooting at a house party in Seattle has left three people dead and one injured, with one suspect in police custody.
The incident took place in Mukilteo, Washington state, about 40km north of the central city, before the suspected gunman was apprehended three counties away, police said.
There were around 15 - 20 people at the house party and reportedly over 20 shots fired in the attack.
The wounded person was transported to Harborview Medical Centre, with the extent of their injuries unknown.
"Our community has suffered a great loss tonight," Mayor Jennifer Gregerson said.
"There were many young people who saw and heard things that no one should ever experience."
The male suspect was pulled over near Chehalis, about 175km from Mukilteo.
