Hollywood actress Susan Sarandon told Patrick Gower she is "yet to be convinced" Hillary Clinton is a suitable candidate to become US President.
Ms Sarandon, an outspoken devotee of Ms Clinton's Democratic opponent Bernie Sanders, also claimed the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement (TPP) is a "very dangerous thing both for jobs and the environment."
Famous for her role in the popular film Thelma and Louise, Ms Sarandon has long championed social and political activism.
Ms Sarandon's comments were in stark contrast to those of fellow Hollywood actress Sigourney Weaver, who trumpeted Ms Clinton's presidential bid, and especially her fight against climate change.
Patrick Gower asked Lethal Weapon actor Danny Glover if he had anything to say to the people of New Zealand, the 70-year-old telling him: "I hope we're providing some real challenging ideas around democracy and what democracy looks like".
US President Barack Obama will speak to the Democratic delegation later this afternoon.
