Acid attack at Sydney gay bar

Police say they haven't received any reports of serious injury after hydrochloric acid was placed inside a lubricant dispenser at a gay club in Sydney's west.

A 62-year-old man has been charged over the tampering at Aarrows in Rydalmere.

It's not the first time the venue has been targeted, with a previous incident prompting management to place an alarm on the dispenser.

The motive for the attack is unclear.

Hydrochloric acid can cause burns and blisters if it comes into contact with skin.

The accused will appear in a Parramatta court in September.
