An 11-year-old was arrested near a mosque in Kirkuk city, Iraq, on Sunday (local time) after police removed a suicide vest from him.

Video of the arrest shows police removing an explosive belt from the boy, who claimed he had been kidnapped by terrorists and was being forced to blow himself up.

The arrest comes two days after a suicide bombing that killed more than 50 people at a wedding in Turkey, with initial reports that attacker was also a child.

Turkish authorities won't confirm if a child was responsible for that attack, but on Sunday, President Tayyip Erdogan said that the bomber was likely aged between 12 and 14. He said evidence suggested Islamic State was behind the attack.
