A New Zealander has been charged over a fatal hit and run incident in Australia.
Nicholas Michael Davison, 22, faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Saturday charged with culpable driving causing the death of a 22-year-old Sydney woman.
She had reportedly just finished searching the streets playing Pokemon Go and was going to get food with friends when she was hit while crossing a pedestrian crossing shortly after 2am.
Davison and the other occupants of the stolen vehicle then allegedly fled.
He was also charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, failing to render assistance, trespass and theft.
Davison, who lives in North Melbourne, was remanded into custody.
