A New Zealand man has reportedly died in a fall from a balcony at a hotel in Thailand.
The man, named as Ross Anthony Mobbs, 30, was discovered by hotel employees on the terrace of the Chillax Resort in Bangkok.
Police Captain Utai Wangtan told local media the incident was reported shortly before midnight on Monday and while rescue volunteers arrived quickly he couldn't be saved.
"There was nothing we could do. He was already dead," he said, according to Farang Deaths, a website that documents the deaths of foreigners in Thailand.
Police said Mr Mobbs had been drinking with three friends in one hotel room, but when he decided to return to his own a few doors up he tried to climb over the balcony instead of using the door.
