A New Zealand woman living in Sydney has been charged with the murder of her two-year-old daughter.
The toddler's body was found inside the Penrith home after a family friend alerted emergency services when she couldn't get inside the house on Tuesday.
The relative asked neighbours for a ladder, and found the little girl's body in the bathroom.
Later that day, the 27-year-old mother was arrested at the Blue Mountains hospital. Neighbours say she'd been in a car crash over the weekend.
The woman who has name suppression appeared in court on Thursday morning (local time) and was denied bail.
