Here's a warning for candidates in New Zealand's upcoming local body elections - don't run for office if you don't actually want to be there.
It's a lesson famous Norwegian black metal musician Gylve 'Fenriz' Nagell learned the hard way, having told people not to vote for him - but the will of the people put him on a local council anyway.
Nagell, from the metal band Darkthrone, was recently elected as a substitute member of the town council in Kolbotn - the Oslo suburb where he lives.
The reluctant politician told music news site CLRVYNT he was "involuntarily" elected to the council which represents around 9000 people.
He's now stuck on the committee for at least four years. Used to touring around Norway, he says: "I'm not used to these sorts of long-term commitments".
He recalled the council had asked if he wanted to be on the list of back-up representatives.
"I said yeah, thinking I would be like 18th on the list and I wouldn't really have to do anything."
His campaign for office was simple.
"My campaign was a picture of me holding my cat saying, 'Please don't vote for me.' But people just went nuts.

"After the election, the boss called me and told me I was a representative. I wasn't too pleased, and I'm not too pleased about it. It's boring. There's not a lot of money in that, either, I can tell you."
But while Nagell can't escape his newfound duties, it seems his cat, whose name loosely translates to 'Peanut Butter', won't be able sit in on meetings.
Darkthrone, formed in 1986, just released its latest album Arctic Thunder.
