Police perused a teenage driver in a high-speed car chase near the Melbourne on Friday.

The driver was reported to be a teenager who drove erratically through streets north of Melbourne in a luxury BMW, narrowly missing other vehicles.

Aerial footage has shown the driver nearly hitting a pedestrian and driving at high speed on the wrong side of the road. The driver can also be seen pulling into a petrol station to fill up before jumping back in the car and driving off again.
